Pulling Together for United Way

2007 Campaign

Bartlesville Regional United Way is celebrating another successful fund drive thanks to the community pulling together for a wonderful cause.  At the official close of the campaign, preliminary data indicated that they had not only met, but exceeded, their 2007 annual fundraising goal of $1.5 million.

This year's campaign kick-off included a record number of volunteers who participated in the "Day of Caring" with over 100 projects completed for area agencies.  Somewhat non-traditional events, such as, volleyball, flag football, and the 5K race, exposed the campaign and the mission to those who may not be familiar with United Way.  Businesses all over the community organized their own internal campaigns that included golf tournaments, chili luncheons and jean days. So much of the success of the campaign is due to the leadership from the Board of Directors, 2007 Campaign Cabinet, Campaign Executive Officiers and countless volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts to the Annual Fund Drive and fund raising activities.

The official campaign report for the 2007-2008 Annual Fund Drive will be presented at the Annual Meeting on May 8, 2008.  The Annual Fund celebration will be held in conjunction with the Chamber After Hours from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on January 10 at the Community Room of the 66 Federal Credit Union building.
