How we help
Mobilize Volunteers
The Bartlesville Regional United Way is able to mobilize volunteer resources, to assist with community and regional activities.
Through United Way partnerships, our region was able to supply clean clothing and toiletries to the first evacuees coming to the Oklahoma Shelter at Camp Grueber, following Hurricane Katrina.
Our community partners helped to mobilize and distribute resources to the tune of 3 semi-trucks and 1 panel-truck. These supplies were sent to Camp Grueber and Texas, through colaborations with American Red Cross, The Salvation Army and Mary Martha Outreach.
Mobilizing volunteers in times of disaster is just one area where the Bartlesville Regional United Way has been of service to its neighbors. We've helped mobilize volunteers for events such as the White Family Extreme Makeover, Home Edition event, which was held during the first part of 2006. We worked with community partners, including Elder Care, The Salvation Army, the American Red Cross, ConocoPhillips, and others, in order to supply volunteer drivers and physical transportation services for hundreds of volunteers during the weeklong event.
In addition, Bartlesville Regional United Way provides volunteers for its Day of Caring, held annually during kick-off in the fall.
We're proud to be a partner in mobilizing human and physical resources in our region!
