The Bartlesville Regional United Way welcomed Liz Merciez as the new office manager.
“We are excited to have Liz on board,” CEO and President Lisa Cary said. “She will be a great asset to the United Way team. Her skills in customer service and data entry made her stand out. She’s been a fast learner.”
Merciez will replace long-time office manager Mary Kay Marshall, who is retiring after serving as the Bartlesville Regional United Way’s office manager for twenty years. Marshall plans to remain on staff through December.
Merciez grew up in Washington, Mo., about an hour outside of St. Louis, Mo. She attended St. Francis Borgia High School where she was involved in various athletics and organizations. She moved to Springfield, Mo., to attend Missouri State University, where she met her husband, Zach Merciez.
“I moved to Bartlesville during the summer of 2016 and instantly felt like I was home,” Liz Merciez said. Growing up in a small community, like Bartlesville, has helped strengthen my love for this town and has excited me about the possibilities and opportunities Bartlesville has to offer. I've been looking for ways to give back to the community that I now call home and the United Way has provided that avenue for me. I look forward to meeting and working with the people of Bartlesville and experience all this town has to offer!”
Merciez and her husband recently married and have a goldendoodle named Hank. They love attending sporting events and traveling to see friends and family outside of Oklahoma.
