United Way seeking Day of Caring projects

The Bartlesville Regional United Way is seeking projects for Day of Caring. Projects are due by July 31.

Every year, BRUW coordinates Day of Caring, where volunteers from businesses around the community help nonprofits with tasks such as building maintenance, yard work, sorting donations, reading to children, and more.

“Each year, thanks to the support of our generous community, Day of Caring has an incredible impact on our local nonprofit community,” Marketing Manager Abigail Singrey said. “Last year, over 150 projects benefitted 51 nonprofits and schools, and over 1,800 people volunteered for Day of Caring. We are excited to see what our volunteers will be able to accomplish this year!”

Nonprofits, schools and other organizations with 501(c) 3 status are invited to submit projects for Day of Caring. All projects must be submitted online through the BRUW website. For instructions, click here.

All materials and funding for projects must be provided by the agency, but volunteer grants may be available through Phillips 66 and ConocoPhillips. A project is not guaranteed to be selected. The call for volunteers will go out in August, and team leads will begin selecting projects then. Day of Caring will be held on Sept. 26.
