Patience is January Life Principle of the Month

Community members are encouraged to help promote the Life Principle of the Month for January – Patience: the ability to wait calmly.

The Life Principle of the Month – created through a partnership between the Bartlesville Public School District, the Bartlesville Regional United Way and the City of Bartlesville – allows the whole city to participate in a character-building exercise.

The Life Principles will be taught at each school site as part of the Bartlesville Public School District’s Great Expectations program. The goal of the goal of GE is to motivate, inspire and challenge individuals to achieve excellence in learning and living.

“We are hoping that parents, coaches and other adults in a child’s life can talk with the children about the life principle and various applications of it, which will reinforce what they are learning in school,” CEO and Executive Director Jody Burch said.

The monthly Life Principle will be promoted through a banner and signs around town, the schools and various media sources.
