City of Bartlesville: White Rose Cemetery Curb Painting

When: Wed, August 04, 2021 7:00 am – Sat, October 30, 2021 3:30 pm Where: White Rose Cemetery, 804 West 11th Street, Bartlesville, OK 74003 Contact: Bobby Robinson Contact Email: bdrobins@cityofbartlesville.org Contact Phone: (918) 338-4154 Open Team Spots: Closed

At White Rose, there are numbers spray painted on the curbs within the cemetery on each of the east and west ends of the blocks. These numbers help visitors find the graves of their family and friends. Rather than say go to “Block 6 Lot 73 Space 8” for instance, I can tell them to go to Block 6, stop when you get to the number 5 on the curb and then walk back 3 rows of graves. It’s a much easier system for people to understand. However, these curb numbers over the years have faded a great deal and are hard to read. We would love for a group of volunteers to repaint them. The Parks Department would provide all stencils, paint, and brushes needed.

The project can be done at any time but ideally Monday through Friday from 7am-3:30 pm as that is when the Parks Department is scheduled to work, though Bobby may be more flexible if that’s not possible.

Number of Hours: 5-6 depending on the team size
