Each year The Salvation Army has The Angel Tree program. This program, with the help of the community, gives toys and clothes to children that may not otherwise receive.
As the items come in, from donors in the community, we bag these items up and make sure each family receives what the donor gave them. We do go through each item to make sure that they are appropriate and not harmful in any way. We also do toy drives in the case that a child is not adopted from our Angel Tree so that we can make them a bag as well.
What we need help with is sorting these items into their overall family bag. Making certain each child have at least three good toys and items of clothing. We are usually very blessed and children tend to get more than this though. Once all children have a good toy bag we close the overall family bag.
We have a distribution day as well where the parents can come and pick up their gifts. This day is Saturday December 17, 2022
