We would like a group to start a garden for the Emergency Youth Shelter. Although we try to get much of our food donated, we feel that growing our own food would provide much needed sustenance as well as education to our youth. We are required to provide very balanced meals to our residents and feel that adding some of these fresh options through our own garden would be an amazing asset. We need volunteers to come and start and garden and plant anything that can still be planted at this time of year. If there is more time or volunteers we also need some yard/shrub/landscaping type work that could be done to the outside of the shelter as well. We are open to any ideas or suggestions with this project because we are not gardening experts by any means.
