Women’s Leadership Council holds cookbook fundraiser

The Women’s Leadership Council, an initiative of the Bartlesville Regional United Way, is holding a cookbook fundraiser. The cookbooks are made up of recipes collected from United Way supporters and the community. They are $20 and are available at the Bartlesville Regional United Way office and at United Way campaign events.

All of the money will be used for educational programs. WLC’s mission is to put resources into the hands of students, families and high needs schools to improve literacy by third grade. In the past, Women’s Leadership Council has hosted Love & Logic parenting classes at Jane Phillips Elementary School and provided scholarships for Jane Phillips students to attend Pinwheels and Popcorn, Bartlesville Public School District’s week-long educational program.

The Bartlesville Regional United Way's chapter was founded in 2014 to provide an avenue for local women to be leaders for social change. The members are dedicated to educating women about needs in the community, engaging them in finding a solution for those needs, and empowering them to make a difference.
