MMO provides free food for low-income people on a weekly basis who come from Washington, Nowata and Osage counties.
MMO provides free clothing and works with teachers in the schools to identify those students in need of clothing.
MMO partners with various other agencies in town to help in times of disaster or crisis by providing basic necessities and food in the shelters and to those have had house fires, help with leaving domestic abuse shelters who need furniture and household items, haircuts for those in need and other services.
The program provides assistance with rent and utilities to help a client stay in their home or keep their utilities turned on. Each client is only eligible to use the service once a year. It is designed to help those who are behi
nd on payments get caught up.

WCC staff is working to break the cycle of generational poverty by teaching youth the benefits of having a job. Youth from 13-16 attend classes with topics such as money management and how to dress and act at a job interview. They are placed in a summer apprenticeship with a local business or non-profit. The youth are paid $750 at the end of the summer.
