Help us lay the foundation – literally – for an important structural improvement! Volunteers will begin work on a new retaining wall by digging out the designated area and, if possible, getting a start on the masonry work. While no prior masonry experience is required to assist with this project, we are especially hopeful that someone with masonry knowledge will volunteer to help guide or finish the build. This is a great opportunity for volunteers who enjoy hands-on outdoor work and want to be part of a lasting improvement to our camp grounds. Bring your muscle, and if you have masonry skills, even better!

Tools/Equipment that will be used during this project: For safety purposes, this retaining wall project will involve tools and equipment such as shovels, spades, and possibly pickaxes for digging the foundation area. If masonry work begins, volunteers may also use trowels, levels, buckets, masonry saws, and mixing tools for concrete or mortar. Wheelbarrows may be used to move dirt and materials, and gloves, eye protection, and sturdy closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended.
